What Is the Great Vault?
The Great Vault is WoW's weekly reward chest system. Each week, you can unlock up to nine item choices by completing specific types of content ā dungeons, raids, and PvP. On reset day, you choose one item from your available options.
The key to maximizing the Great Vault is completing as much high-level content as possible each week, which unlocks more choices and higher item level rewards.
How Does the Great Vault Work for Mythic+?
For Mythic+ dungeons, the Great Vault rewards are based on the highest key levels you completed during the week:
- š¢ 1 dungeon completed: Unlocks 1 Vault choice
- š” 4 dungeons completed: Unlocks 2 Vault choices
- š“ 8 dungeons completed: Unlocks 3 Vault choices
The item level of your Vault reward scales with the highest key you completed. Running higher keys means better Vault options on reset day.
How Does the Great Vault Work for Delves?
Delves also contribute to the Great Vault. Completing higher-tier Delves unlocks better item level options in your weekly chest, making them a valuable complement to your Mythic+ runs.
